Yale + HP
The Yale-HP Curricular Technology Project examines the role of technology in learning and teaching in an ongoing relationship between HP and Yale, now in its seventh year of sponsored research.
CCAM AI Incubator
The CCAM AI Incubator drives arts-forward artificial intelligence projects led by Yale faculty and staff. In its first year, five interdisciplinary projects were selected that bring together a range of Yale departments and schools. Partners include Hewlett-Packard (HP) and the Yale Office of the Provost.
Ultra Space
CCAM Ultra Space research installs principles of curiosity, perception, and artifact-based insight into the built environment, exploring architectural life through sensing, making, and theorizing. Ultra Space involves partnership with the Yale School of Architecture and has brought collaborators from the MIT Space Exploration Initiative and the Ikegami Lab at the University of Tokyo to CCAM and campus.
Creativity
What is creativity? What is intelligence? How does thinking both entangle us and free us? Creativity research at CCAM takes up the science of creativity, exploring how students and professionals can cultivate habits that move them into the flow of generative, inventive thought. Partners include Yale Planetary Solutions, involving collaborations with Music Haven and Harvard Forest.
Speculative Relics
Can we better understand the present and future of our relationship to technology by using it to engage with an irrevocably lost past? This emerging research project takes up an experimental approach to design, story, and cultural heritage.
