About

At the confluence of art, architecture, and public space, the system invites passersby to pause, see everyday surroundings in new ways, and enter the building to join us in our studios.

Current Activations

Please check back in Fall 2026 for upcoming CCAM MIX activations.

Past Activations

In Spring 2026, CCAM MIX was activated with ground || horizons, a project by Art Directors Tusia Dąbrowska and Wiktor Freifeld (MFA, Design – Projections, David Geffen School of Drama, 2026).  From mid-January to mid-April, works by invited artists working in 3D environments, live performance, etc. were presented, created or adapted for CCAM MIX. An open call was also held for Yale and New Haven community members to present work from April 13–26.

From the Art Directors:

"At a moment of unparalleled destruction of the natural world, hastened by the dissolution of the social fabric hastened by new technologies, we turn to off-center ways of knowing to intuit possible futures. With urgency, we tune into ways of knowing that persist, despite forces of erasure, to ask: What forms of production, acknowledging, and order are still available to us as sites of regeneration? How can the encounter with moving image in the public streetscape open space for unfamiliar narratives or embodied responses, renewing how we relate to each other and to the environments we move through? It is from this place of hope that we welcome ideas, visions, and methods of working that help us find solid ground and seek new horizons."
