David Garsten

Digital Content Manager (2025–2026)

David Garsten is a Yale junior and a linguist, writer, composer, and programmer. He's interested in animals, aliens, AI, and ancient people, and how these different types of intelligences evolve and utilize symbolic systems with different formal properties to communicate meaning and manipulate emotion. He composes for film, television, and video games, and his music is experimental, orchestral, ambient, and deeply rooted in story. He has also coded an interactive musical composition from DNA. He loves creative spaces like CCAM and is inspired by how innovative, collaborative art can help people view the world through new eyes.
