CCAM Presents: Sound Art Series: Jace Clayton (DJ /rupture)
Come to a performance and talk by artist and writer Jace Clayton, also known for his work as DJ / rupture. Clayton’s work concerns how sound, memory, and public space interact, with an emphasis on low-income communities and non-Western geographies. Using an interdisciplinary approach grounded in a rigorous conceptual framework, Clayton places a strong emphasis on working globally (often outside of the traditional gallery or tour circuits), cross-cultural collaboration, and a Do-It-Yourself ethic. Clayton will speak with curator Ross Wightman.
