Susan Youssef is a filmmaker whose feature films, documentaries, and short works have screened as official selections at major international festivals including Sundance, Venice, Busan, and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Her writing and directing have received numerous honors, including the FIPRESCI and NETPAC awards. She is a Poynter Fellow in Journalism from Yale University, a Fulbright Fellow, and a Princess Grace Award recipient. Her video art has been exhibited at museums such as Tate Modern and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

Susan is a directing alumna of the ABC/Disney and NBCUniversal Launch programs. Three of her films, Habibi, Amsterdam to Anatolia, and Marjoun and the Flying Headscarf, were included in the Netflix worldwide catalog from 2021 to 2024.

At Yale, she has taught as part of the Residential College Seminar program and leads the CCAM Office Hours workshop series, co-teaching alongside Academy Award winners, Emmy and Grammy nominees, and other leaders in the field. She currently serves as the CCAM Film Advisor and is a member of the Directors Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
