CCAM Wednesday Wisdom: Max/MSP Time Machines

Wednesday, September 25, 2024
  |
6:00PM to 8:00PM

Create, discover, and explore—and be part of the CCAM community! Our Wednesday Wisdom workshops explore dynamic intersections of the arts and technology, and are designed and taught by the center’s team, along with collaborators from both on and off campus. Come to CCAM on select Wednesday evenings between September and May for creativity, conversation, and a pizza dinner.

Get to know the multimedia visual programming environment Max/MSP, described by its developers as a “playground for invention.” Learn the basics of how to program in Max and connect different types of physical input devices to a wide range of creative outputs—including audio playback, sound synthesis, and live visuals. You’ll learn how to manipulate time, video, and music in this hands-on workshop.

Designed and taught by Dana Karwas (CCAM Director and Critic, Yale School of Architecture) and Konrad Kaczmarek (Associate Professor Adjunct, Department of Music, Yale University)
