CCAM Wednesday Wisdom with Marijke Jorritsma: Computer as Collaborator

Join the Design Lead from the NASA’s Jet Propulsion Labs Europa Clipper software designer Marijke Jorritsma as she explores how designers and artists can frame machine intelligence in their work. This talk is part of the Wednesday Wisdom visiting artist series at the Yale Center for Collaborative Arts and Media. All members of the Yale community are welcome! Tickets are free, but registration will be capped at sixty guests.

Marijke Jorritsma is a Senior User Experience Designer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory where she designs software for robotic space exploration. Her projects on lab include designing augmented reality tools for spacecraft engineering and Mars exploration, and software to support spacecraft operations for the Europa Clipper mission; a spacecraft set to arrive at the Jovian moon in 2025 to determine whether it contains life supporting properties. Off-lab Marijke consults creative technology and arts organizations and is a professor at the California Institute of Technology.
