Policy for Participation in Yale College Arts Activities

Arts activities are a vital part of student life in Yale College. In general, these activities are intended for enrolled students. In order to maintain equity in access to opportunity and College resources, and to protect the safety of participants in these activities, the following policies apply:

Students on leave may not make use of the resources of the CCAM, as these resources are intended for enrolled students. In extraordinary cases, when no University affiliated individual is available to fulfill the requirements of a CCAM project, a request for an exception may be submitted to the director. The request must be made by an enrolled student, faculty, or staff member. Please send a written request stating the reason for the exception to the CCAM Director (kathryn.krier@yale.edu). Approved participants must sign and submit an Assumption of Risk form to the Director or the Yale College Dean’s Office. Assumption of Risk forms may be downloaded here. If an exception is approved, the student will be notified in writing by the Director or the Dean’s Office.

Individuals with no current formal affiliation with Yale University, including alums, may not make use of the resources of the CCAM unless enrolled in an academic course as an auditor, and the project is part of the coursework. In extraordinary cases, when no University affiliated individual is available to fulfill the requirements of a CCAM project, a request for an exception may be submitted to the director. Term Abroad Yale College students may make use of the resources of the CCAM. Withdrawn students may not make use of the resources of the CCAM.
