Research in Motion CFP
CCAM is home to Research in Motion, an ongoing research project that takes place in our robust 1400 square foot Leeds motion capture studio and analysis lab. The CCAM Research in Motion Program sponsors a set of 2-3 projects each semester that make special use of the Leeds motion capture studio. The Vicon motion capture system is equipped for capture of multiple bodies and objects and can be used across a range of disciplines from dance to ability studies. Faculty, students, and staff interested in proposing research activities and conceptual experiments in the lab may submit project abstracts here. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed by the center’s staff and faculty advisory committee on a monthly basis. Research accommodations will be made according to lab availability, support requirements, and relevancy of project details. Basic training and orientation to the facility will be provided by CCAM staff to all accepted research projects. All Yale faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to apply.
