Yale Center for Collaborative Arts and Media seeks a Programs Manager to help lead arts initiatives, in support of the Center’s collaborative interdisciplinary arts research mission. The Center seeks a candidate to lead its core programs, develop new programs strategies, and build relationships with campus partners that will foster interdisciplinary arts opportunities across Yale. The Programs Manager will identify campus collaborators and provide outreach to ensure use of the Center’s newly renovated, high-tech studios and classroom resources, including a motion capture analysis lab, immersive media suites, and print media fabrication lab.

The Programs Manager provides artistic leadership and creative vision to the Center’s research and learning programs. The Programs Manager will have completed an MFA in a discipline relevant to arts production and research at Yale, and will have experience in collegiate arts administration. The Programs Manager will help design, organize, and implement visiting artist workshops and interdisciplinary arts research activities, and exercise ongoing evaluation of the Center’s programs and operations to ensure all resources and facilities are fully leveraged. The Programs Manager will also oversee the Center’s communications, event schedules, and promotional activities. As needed, the Programs Manager will liaise with technical support providers to maintain Information Technology and facilities operations in the Center’s studios, labs, and classrooms. The Programs Manager will lead learning activities that draw upon the artistic advantages of the Center’s resources. She or he may participate as an ex officio member of the Center’s advisory committee.

Essential Duties:
• Develop programming initiatives in collaboration with the Director and Faculty Advisory Committee, including visiting artist and graduate fellow programs, arts research activities, and other programs determined to be in support of the Center’s mission.
• Provide regular analysis and evaluation of programs and make recommendations to shape determinations for future programming and investment.
• Manage schedules, communications, event coordination, and implementation of visiting artist workshops and interdisciplinary arts research activities.
• Provide strategy and support for the Center’s Faculty Advisory Committee; develop programming initiatives to meet committee recommendations, and provide analysis to inform committee advisement of the Director. Provide participation and support for the committee as determined by the Director.
• Oversee programs-related design and communications, including website, newsletter, email, and social media platforms.
• Liaise with Yale Information Technology Services and Facilities Operations to maintain operational technical, research, and learning resources, including studios, labs, and classrooms.
• Lead learning activities that showcase the Center’s new space and resources.
• May perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director.
