Studio Fellowship

The CCAM Studio Fellowship invites Yale upper-level undergraduate and graduate students to produce an original project based at the Center for Collaborative Arts and Media (CCAM).

Applications for the 2024–2025 academic year will open in August 2024 and be due in September. Below is last year’s application; please note that all details are subject to change. For questions about the program, please email CCAM Assistant Director Lauren Dubowski: lauren.dubowski@yale.edu

CCAM Studio Fellowship Application 2023–2024

We seek projects that:

  • Can be realized over the course of the academic year.
  • Propose a partnership with both CCAM and another on-campus entity. This can be a department, center, program, piece of equipment, etc., or a person, but cannot be just another student. While confirmed partnerships are preferred, CCAM can assist accepted fellows in establishing these if needed.
  • Demonstrate a specific project idea that has the capacity to evolve through participation in the program.

Please note:

  • Students may apply as an individual (one fellow working on one project), or as a collaborative group (multiple fellows working together on one project).
  • For collaborative group applications, each student should submit their own application, with the same project details.

CCAM ofers each project $1,000 in funding (note: per project, not per fellow), as well as access to CCAM’s spaces and Equipment Checkout. Studio Fellows may also apply to be Temporary Experts to become more involved at CCAM and earn work-study.

Application Questions:

  2. Skills & Goals (up to 150 words): How do you anticipate the fellowship being helpful in realizing your project? What specific skills do you plan to apply or learn in the process?
